Off to a Great Start!

Our second week of school was fun for everybody. Some of the highlights were our PE classes, in which the students learned how to play together as a team in games like soccer and basketball. The students also created a Class Charter this week, which is an agreement we all will make to help and support each other in order to make this the best school year we've ever had. In the coming weeks, we have some exciting field trip experiences coming up. Stay tuned for those.... Literacy: We read a story as a class this week about a goat who gets a special gift from a tiger. It's called a Banza, and it helps the goat to find the strength in her heart to overcome her fears. We also finished a book called, How to Be Cool in Third Grade, and did our own assignment about why reading is cool for us. We started new 3rd grade activities like cursive writing, which we will be working on all year, and Dictado exercises, which test both our listening and spelling skills. In the last week ...
