Helper projects and more

The How to Be a Helper projects inspired by our reading of Stuart Little were a great success. The students came up with all kinds of generous ways to help people (and animals!). Here are the projects of the students who have presented so far.  Odin pulled in a big haul for his Coat Drive. Scarlett helped accustom stray cats to being with humans so they could be adopted. Xanti also helped animals. He organized a blanket drive for the animal shelter. Skye came up with a great idea of sending her greetings to a child at St. Jude's hospital. Charley offered her help to the Kindergarteners, helping them learn to read. Iz helped the community by donating books.  Brittany helped her dad, who works with all kinds of cool stones.  Ella helped out at the Love Apple by prepping tables. Vivienne planned to help her mom prepare for their family's Thanksgiving celebration. Theo helped a family friend by chopping and stacking firewood. The TISA 3rd grade had an incredible experience at the Valle Vidal last week where we helped stock cutthroat trout to in their native waters.
