Fossil-making projects, One-Pagers, and Candy bar drilling

The 3rd Grade at TISA has done some impressive work in the last couple of weeks, especially in Science and Social Studies. The students learned about the geological conditions that it takes to make a fossil. Then, they had the chance to make some fossils of their own! Take a look at some of the fossil-making projects done by our students. Elsada Natalia Destiny Lillyana Oliver Cedar Jossen Emma In Social Studies, we have been learning about the different ways of travel that developed in the United States during the 1800s. We read about the Pony Express, the Transcontinental Railroad, and the Oregon Trail, just to name a few. The students were tasked with creating a One-Pager, using words and images to convey what they had learned. These are some of the marvelous results. The TISA 3rd grade has been reading the book Little House in the Big Woods, in which a girl and her family in the 1800s have to make and do everything themselves. The class was tasked to create a Do-It-Yourself project, inspired by the book, and you wouldn't believe what some of them were able to do! US States and Other 3rd Grade Projects

The students research their States, drew maps showing all the cities and landmarks in their States, and presented them very intelligently to the class.
