Think of a place that is much different during the nighttime than it is during the day. Describe all the difference between night and day in this place in detail (1/2 a page).

I chose a school. During the day  there are lots of kids and teachers in the classrooms, lunch rooms, hallways and playground . In the night if there is nothing going on, then it's just empty and dark. There is no teaching going on, there is no playing or kids answering questions. Everyone is at home .  The lunch room is empty and there is no smell of food being served. The parking lot of the school is very empty and during the day it is full of cars from teachers and parents especially during pickup and drop off.

A beach is different between night and day. It is different because it is peaceful and quiet in the day. There are people having picnics and people surfing in big waves. There are kids with Boogie boards. There are seagulls all over the place. The beach is very different at night. It is dark and quiet with night birds Hawking at Shadows in the dark. Crabs make holes by eating the sand. Nocturnal fish are hunting crabs, lobsters and other fish. There aren't many people at night. They go home.

Congratulations once again to Caira for winning the Smelly T-Shirt Reading Contest in the Fall. Acknowledgement is also in order for Abby, Willow, and Analyia, who came in close runners up.  Fortunately for everyone, our class is starting up a new Reading Contest for the Spring. The theme is a Reading Marathon. We are now writing our reading logs on "running feet," which we are going to put up around the school and see how far we get! Students will continue to earn stickers, which they can put on their marathon avatars.  Our class went on a fantastic field trip last week to the Talpa Community Center. We got to visit the library, where the students explored new books and read to each other. Thanks to the librarian there, Ms. Lucita, we also got to make tortillas. They came out so tasty, and the students enjoyed eating them for lunch paired with butter, peanut butter, and fresh jam. Final field trips

The Third Grade has been busy learning and going on educational field trips. Here you can see some of the projects and activities that we have been up to.  Here we are at the Talpa Community Center, where Ms. Luzita read us a cool story called The Arrow of the Sun. We then did an art activity based on the story and played in the playground.  We went to the Taos Junction Bridge, where we investigated the types of insects that trout like to eat in their natural habitat.  After visiting the river we went to the New Mexico Wildlife Center in Espanola. We saw owls, hawks, and a bobcat. We had a number of new Students of the Month for April and May. Congratulations to them for all their hard work and the unique gifts they bring to our class! More project presentations. People helped clean, helped take care of animals, helped work in restaurants and do laundry! More photos of the NMWC. The weather was perfect that day. Letter writing and field trips

The fall season is finally here, and the TISA 3rd grade has been busy with all kinds of things. Here we are about to march off to send our letters in the mail.  We had an amazing time on our field trip to the Slide Trail. We hiked down into the canyon, got to see an owl presentation, and then finished our day with some water play at the river.  We also had a fantastic time on our field trip to the Columbine Hondo Trail. Here we are checking out trees, crossing bridges, and exploring a cave.
