Cool posters and much more!

The TISA 3rd grade completed their "How to Be Cool" projects recently. Everyone gave great presentations, telling the class about what makes them cool. We were also glad to have our remote-learners come on Zoom to present their posters.

In Art class, the students have been working on self-portraits in the style of pop artists Roy Lichtenstein. We have some amazingly modern artists in this class.

In Math we have been working on telling time, place value and addition and subtraction with regrouping.

In Literacy, we have been reading a mystery story. Over the next week we will be working on writing our own mysteries! We have also been doing cursive writing and talking about parts of speech, like nouns and verbs.

In Science we have been talking about heat and temperature. We did an exciting experiment last week, where we observed how the particles in hot and cold water are moving about differently.

In Social Studies, we have been looking at early American history, including the Native Americans who were here for thousands of years, the arrival of the explorers, and the first American colonies.
