Museum Trip and Art-Integrated Math Project

The 3rd grade had an amazing field trip to the Harwood Museum. The students were a bunch of troopers, walking all the way there from school! The journey was worth it, because we saw some beautiful Taos-inspired artwork, and created many incredible works ourselves.

The students recently had the opportunity to use their math skills to build their own city! They calculated the area and perimeter of certain essential city buildings, and presented to the class their designs.
