Field Trip to State Capitol

The TISA 3rd grade had a fantastic time and learned a lot on their recent field trip to Santa Fe. At the State Capitol building, we got to see where legislators make laws, and the governor enacts them. Then, we went to the New Mexico History Museum, where we searched to find artifacts from many time periods.

This is why it is called "The Roundhouse."

Walking in an orderly line through the building.

Looking down on the floor where the Senate meets.

Hello from the Second Floor West Wing balcony!

One of the amazing works of art at the capitol, a bull's head made of recycled materials.

No lunch with the governor on this trip. Maybe next time!

Going over the rules of the road before our walk through the Plaza.

Happy to be at the New Mexico History Museum.
