"I Have a Dream," Valentine's Day, and Bowling at Gutters

The TISA 3rd grade has been busy as usual, as the 2nd trimester drew to a close in the last week, we put the finishing touches to our "I Have a Dream" projects, inspired by Martin Luther King. The class did an outstanding job on this project, collecting quotations from King's famous speech, writing an essay about their own "dreams," and putting it all together on a beautiful poster thanks to Ms. Ali. The "Peace Posters" are now on display in the hallway of the main building.

We had our Valentine's celebration this week. Our class of course got to go around the room and drop off Valentine's goodies on one another's desks, but the highlight of the day was definitely when we got to go visit Ms. Melissa's Kindergarten class and exchange Valentine's gifts with them, donated to the class through the generosity of an anonymous donor!

Who wants to go to school on a Friday? Fortunately for us, Fun Friday this week included a visit to the Gutters Bowling Alley. Everyone in the class improved their games tremendously. They incorporated all they they had been taught from holding the ball to rolling it properly. Thanks to the kind folks at Gutters for giving us such an awesome deal!
